Rochester Men Still Love Jesus

Rochester, NY · Rochester Affinity Church Plant Network

Rochester men still love Jesus. Show it where it counts.

If you say you love Christ, love what he loves: his church. New church plants are opening across Rochester, and they need men who show up, pick something up, and serve the way God built them to serve.

Services start Sunday, November 22, 2026

The gap, in percentages

Plenty of men say yes to Jesus. Fewer say yes to Sunday.

Men

  • Men ages 18–29 who seldom or never attend services Pew, 201439%
  • Men ages 30–49 who seldom or never attend services Pew, 201436%

Christians

  • Christians ages 18–29 who do not attend weekly Pew, 201458%
  • Christians ages 30–49 who do not attend weekly Pew, 201455%

Now, and here

  • Adults in their 30s who attend at least monthly, the lowest of any age group Pew, 2023–2429%
  • U.S. adults who seldom or never attend in person Pew, 2023–2449%
  • Rochester residents classed as non-religious Gallup, 201343%

Every bar runs from 0 to 100%. Pew's 2014 age groups are 18–29 and 30–49, so they only approximate ages 18–45. The Christian figures cover men and women; the "do not attend weekly" numbers are 100% minus the share who attend at least once a week. The Rochester figure is more than a decade old.

The challenge

Loving Christ and skipping his church does not add up.

Scripture says Christ loved the church enough to give himself for her (Ephesians 5:25), and that loving him shows up in what we do (John 14:15). Loving him means loving what he loves.

This is not a call to fill a pew and sit quietly. Use what you already have. Machinists, nurses, drivers, techs, coaches, musicians, dads: there is a job on a Sunday morning built for you, and it is not the role that never fit.

How it works

  1. Pick how you want to serve

Choose an area, your roles and the Sundays that work. Labor, music, greeting, kids, care: your call.

  2. Take a 15-minute Zoom training

Every volunteer starts with a short training. No experience needed for most roles.

  3. Show up and serve

Services start Sunday, November 22, 2026. Someone will walk with you.
